Born and raised in wine country - it doesn't get more insider than that. Anna started her career in hospitality

right out of high school and, despite some breaks to travel the globe, keeps coming back to it. A self-confessed

"hotel nerd" she has worked for both well-known brands like Sheraton Sonoma County and Hilton Sonoma Wine Country to renowned boutique properties, including Russian River Valley's famed Farmhouse Inn (where she started out as Lead Concierge and after nearly nine years finally departed as head of the sales department), and Headlands Coastal Lodge and Spa on the Oregon Coast. After moving back to Sonoma from Oregon in late 2018, Anna now manages a beautiful vineyard villa in Dry Creek Valley.

Anna is obsessed with food and knows all the classic, tried and true, new, hot, pop-up, and off the grid spots. Michelin-starred dining? But of course. Food trucks? YES. She is also incredibly passionate about travel, and has explored the country and globe extensively, though she is nowhere near done. Some of Anna's favorite places in the world can be found in southeast Asia (did we mention she loves food? Yeah, makes sense). Anna's passport has stamps from: Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Cambodia, Laos, Taiwan, Spain, France, Mexico, Canada, Turkey and a few more. Sustainable travel and wildlife conservation are near and dear to her heart and often her longer sabbaticals include volunteering with rescued wildlife.

CALIFORNIA NATIVE, WINE ENTHUSIAST

Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Meghan visited her first winery in the Napa Valley

before turning one - her parents invested in her future in the wine business from the get-go.  Her hospitality

career began while attending Sonoma State University for her Wine Business degree. The very brave souls at

Nicholson Ranch Winery hired an 18 year old Meghan to assist with their events program. Post-graduation Meghan moved a little further north to the Dry Creek Valley and began work at Quivira Vineyards and Winery.

During a wine dinner Anna met Meghan and somehow Anna convinced Meghan to come join her as a concierge at the Farmhouse Inn. Meghan spent 6 years working at the Farmhouse taking on everything from concierge work to events and eventually much of the marketing. Meghan did a two-year stint in Washington DC, but she is back in California, where she specializes in email marketing.

Meghan is passionate about wine. Her years in the wine industry have turned her into the go-to resource among friends and family when it comes to wine recommendations and wine procurement. She does indeed love to geek out on weird wines from around the world and is a big advocate of "you like what you like, don't apologize for it."

If you want to talk to Meghan about wine or have wine-related questions, you can email her at meghan@wcwinecountry.com.
